  • 30 Rock & Samantha Who?

    May 27th, 2008

Why you must see 30 Rock & Samantha Who?

In those days where everything seems to go wrong, it is good to have moments of pure relaxation. It is bidonner before Le Coeur its reasons, but we must adhere to Canadian humour. Or, more classically can be marrer with two American sitcoms that are 30 Rock and Samantha Who?

30 Rock is the address of the global headquarters of the chain NBC, “rock” is an abbreviation of Rockefeller Plaza. And it is precisely at NBC that runs the plot of this sitcom. Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) is the main author of the weekly show featuring the chain, The Girly Show. After the death of his former boss, she and her team must learn to work with the new boss, Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin, against unemployment, irresistible). The boss is totally crazy like the team that revolves around Liz. The challenge for her, is not to become crazy, that all this little world will try to do, it seems. Needless to say, his personal life is a fiasco.

On retrouvera pleased, Jane Krakowski in the role of Jenna Maroney (remember, it was Elaine Vassal, the secretary nympho and curious as a stone marten Ally McBeal), she plays the star of the show that the fictitious Girly Show, a treat. Apart from Alec Baldwin to surprise us in this unexpected comic role, there is another revelation men, Jack McBrayer in the role of receptionist Kenneth Parcell, drollisime in benêt, which sometimes the worst adventures but with a lucky star that shines very strong - above his head. The insightful have recognized in the clip of Mariah Carey “Touch my body”, there is hilarious.

Tina Fey is the author of this series won the Emmy for best comedy this year. It was also part of SNL (Saturday Night Live), an institution in terms of emission comical. That is what inspired SNL The Girly Show.

Running on……. you follow?……. NBC, the series is a true cardboard audience and critic. In France, it is to see now on Canal +.

Samantha Who?, Is the pleasant surprise of the season 2007/08. There are few sitcoms scheduled at this time in the USA, so existing ones cartonnent. Especially since the current sitcoms are no longer shot in public with these incessant laughter and énervants. No, the modern sitcom is even toured outside, but still funny (that is what we ask him).

Newly Samantha (Christina Applegate) has experienced a terrible road accident, she wakes up after eight days of coma but does not remember anything: it has become amnesiac! Surrounded by her friends, her family and her ex, she will discover that the old Samantha was a real bitch, but the new Sam is determined to change that. This starting point will take us crazy Saturday with the discovery of who she was in a way no less crazy. Through short flashback, we relive the events of the life of Sam the bitch, a pure delight.

The casting is great, we remember all of Christina Applegate in Kelly Bundy, godiche “Marriés, Two Children”, as a producer of Samantha Who?, It is better served. His ex, Todd is interpreted by Barry Watson who was the elder brother of Camden 7th Heaven (7 the House, God I hate titles series french!). The best friends are Jennifer Esposito (Andrea), tremendous superficiality and Melissa McCarthy (Dana) good girlfriend just wrapped (too nice), aficionados of Gilmore Girls on France 4 know already. The mother Regina is interpreted by the incredible Jean Smart, which is a far cry from its role as the wife of the president in 24.

Airing on ABC and despite a hiatus of several weeks due to the strike of writers, Samantha Who? has a large and loyal following. No French channel is known to date for its release under our latittudes, so watch your networks to know where and when (read Through my eyes, what…).

From laughter bar is what we are proposing these two series. In these difficult times, you would be wrong to deprive you: life is more beautiful series!

  • Teeth

    May 27th, 2008

Do you know the “vagina dentata”? It is a myth evoking an aboriginal woman to the sexual organ unusual because it is equipped with teeth. Woe to the ill-intentioned male who would dare venture into a more qu’amicale without the consent of the girl. Here is the idea of Teeth.

Dawn is a young American girl actively engaged in an association advocating the virtues of abstinence. During one of these meetings, she made the acquaintance of the charming Tobey: love at first sight is instantaneous. Only small problem: they both made the vow not only afford the one they épouseront. The fight between their first and their moral émois looks harsh. The first part is cleverly done and we follow with a touch of humor and shift these young tourtereaux, wondering which of the two will be the first to crack.

The result is less encouraging: from the moment Dawn made the discovery of his anatomical feature strange to say the least, the film loses much of its interest. Hésitant between horror film (that is missed, scenes gores are frankly laughable) and drama Teeth does not really balance the two. It fails to really focus on any of the characters and some scenes peripheral to the main story are bâclées.

In addition, the final speech given by the film is quite elementary: The guys are all bastards (there is not one to make up the other) who think only one thing. The idea that finally a woman come all you save (and how!), You’ll probably adore it, girls. It’s still a little too caricatural. That said, lovers of Series B appreciate.

  • Celibacy intermittently

    May 27th, 2008

For more than two years Clémence Mercier presents with his troupe, the company “K” Celibacy intermittently, she wrote in 2004. After turning in the province and in many theater in the suburbs of Paris, this pleasing piece is played at this time at the Theatre de L’Archipel in Paris. The act has been so popular it’s been graced by the presence of celebrities such as Christian Bale, Ian McKellen and poker star Gus Hansen.

Eva lives in collocation with two of his closest friends, and Fred Claire. But as much as Eva is exuberant and consumes men at will, as far Fred is naive and does not wish to reserve that for the man of her life. As for Claire, men she took her dose and substantive benefits of its status as a single tough. When David arrived, the little brother Fred, then Ahmed (the coup d’un soir Eva) plans to engage more seriously, their little world is tourneboulé. That’s not counting Marc, the new love with Fred, who conceals his Thursday

The tone is frivolous, the game players intentionally exaggerated, good words fuse the minute: we are here in the presence of a good old piece of boulevard. Except that Celibacy intermittently renew the kind of very clever. The topics covered are modern: the thirtysomethings, gays, sexuality… nothing is hidden and everything is discussed in a thin and light. You spend a good time-short but intense-with this band of young talented players. One can only hope their word of mouth even more favorable for attracting an audience more and more numerous.

    Neil

Celibacy intermittently, written and directed by Clémence Mercier, with Caroline Marti, Benedict Cauden, Laurence de Greef, Nazim Ilias, Sonia Benier-Pisani and Jonathan Semo. At the Theatre de l’Archipel, 18 April to 24 May 2008. Information on their MySpace space.

  • Cleaner

    May 27th, 2008

Do you know that when someone dies at home, cleaning of the premises is at your expense? This is where Tom Cutler, a former cop directing a company specialized cleaning, especially on crime scenes. Occupation not obvious, but it can only raise her daughter Rose, without risking his life.

It wants to bring back when the keys of a house in which he made a clean it realizes that the murder of which he has erased the traces was never told police. The wife of the disappeared ask him to help her discover the truth, without notifying the local police, corrupt. The only way for Tom to get out of the trap is then to resolve itself the investigation so as not to be accused of the crime of which he erased any trace. Mêlé to his former colleagues more or less in the pay of a former Mafia commissioner, Tom must act quickly to save his skin and that of her daughter.

Thriller American ultra-classic, Cleaner is fairly predictable in its broad lines. Ed Harris, who plays the role of friend-cop-old partner sent in advance scorched, as always portrays the roles of bad boy corrupted. Samuel L. Jackson (60 years) is a bit old for this kind of film, and Eva Mendes in luxurious widow is as credible as a J-Lo investigator. Nothing folichon therefore for this gloomy but entertaining film which I am sure you already know the end…

  • The case God

    May 27th, 2008

A mimicry annoying wind blowing over the mystery and thrillers of the moment. It is, actually, always somewhat the same story with a different title, an author and sometimes different characters do not have the same name.

And yet, a title to another, little change on the horizon. Today, God is the case of Jean-Pierre Dufreigne. Yesterday, the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, The Oath of Limbo of Grangé. Tomorrow it will be a new Chattam, or an unknown author tried by the most prolific vein after the books on Sarkozy.

There is therefore obviously a commissioner plus any young Parisian-one basic rule - and significantly blasé, also specializes in theology, psychology, parapsychology, philosophy and geopolitics. As too much knowledge for a single commissioner would really foutage of mouth, he always adds an assistant crack of information (which comes alone to monitor spam on the planet, that the NSA and the CIA fail to do with several thousand analysts…) and local speciality of Dufreigne, a wife, novelist and talented in mathematics. I grant you, as a general rule Commissioners are old, jaded, single and alcoholics. For the nostalgic, just go see a film by Olivier Marchal.

It adds essential ingredients: esotericism and religion, all suspected of a little secret: if possible a brotherhood who secretly lead the world and is directly responsible for the rise in oil prices, the September 11 attacks and death Pascal Sevran. Powerful what. Here, our Commissioner God heard him speak during the night, and reveal him to ancient Greek THE answer to the question of humanity.

From there to tell us a shootout with dangerous Islamic terrorist and a near-death experience (fashionable in the thriller), there was only one step. For the sensational side, everything is sprinkled with a ritual murder just before the dish is served.

It is unfortunately a fairly bad cooking for Jean-Pierre Dufreigne. The ingredients are there, it lacks one, but it is not enough. Asked by strength, perhaps, a mixture sometimes indélicat, who knows. Or maybe we just can not make a police investigation into the existence of God. One thing is sure, the final fade is enough, and we hurry to finish by issuing real doubts about the success of a second attempt.

  • Michael Tolliver is alive

    May 27th, 2008

When I read the first six volumes, I listened Mika loop. Grace Kelly, everything is Barbery Lane. So for the occasion, I dusted the iPod (note that it sounds immediately less credible that “I dusted the 33 laps) and I sing Mika. And suddenly, while Billy Brown was in love with another man, Michael Tolliver redébarquait in my life. As a ray of sunshine in the middle of May…

The time is past, San Francisco has transformed the former troublemakers of Barbery Lane are now on the side of elders, after crossing the beginning of the epidemic of AIDS. Michael Tolliver, our beloved Mouse, is now married to Ben, much younger to him, but bringing happiness and a libido without contrast.

The age helping, Michael will be closer to his brother and his elderly mother, mourrante in its rédisence Catholic emphysémateux. When Anna Madrigal, his former logeuse, in turn, falls seriously ill, he must choose between that has always rejected and one who has always loved.

True to style ds first six volumes, Armistead Maupin unvarnished lies in the life of his characters which, the air of nothing, we were tied. The progress of the company cynic to small touches on President Bush and his policies, through a few details of a sex life always overflowing, it brings us back side Barbery Lane for a révérance most pimpantes whether . And it is still the great talent of Armistead Maupin: making us all inhabitants of Barbery Lane with the coup, printing find old friends, moments lived and forgotten - “oh yes, this camp lesbians paramilitary! “- Good as bad. And even though today the chronic end, it all just keeps us in mind and whimsical déluré Anna Madrigal, logeuse transgender, in the secret hope that one day, a place becomes available for us to 28, Barbery Lane…

  • Vantage Point, by dEUS

    May 27th, 2008

If you do not know anything to rock, and you have the right, be reassured, dEUS is a selection of gourmet end to your education hearing, speech by newcomer! This group of five boys straight out of Belgium is still in its infancy nor or his first training. After being on the front of the stage in 90 years, the group returns today with a new training and a new album of the most striking: Vantage Point.

In various interviews for the release of the album, Tom Barman, their leader, talks about the recent difficulties of the group. After a period of doubt and close the rift between 2000 and 2004, boys have released a 2005 album Pocket Revolution, Tom judge unsuited to the scene live. With a new producer (Dave McCraken, an English 35 years who had worked with Dispatch Mode among others), they have moved into a new home-studio in Antwerp they called Vantage Point to get back to work. Hence the name of the album.

After 8 weeks of registration, is ultimately an album “direct, open (…): a compact disc of ten titles that can listen in a bar or at home” who sees the day, with “things fall - stuff inside and calm because we love it too. Conceived for the stage, “it is easy to play live.” This is the Trabendo that the group introduced the album to the scene in Paris this Thursday, April 24, before departing for the rest of their international tour. • [Rec]

    May 27th, 2008

I do not know about you, but Spanish cinema I like these time-çi, and the avalanche of securities in which we croulons past few months me happy! After The Orphanage of Juan Antonio Bayona (in the shadow of Guillermo del Toro), here are two young filmmakers, Paco Plaza and Jaume Balaguero will also bring them to play with our nerves in their film [Rec].

Combining horror and anguish, this feature film shot entirely in HD camera in hand we embark on the steps of a team of journalist, who spends the night in a fire station for a television magazine reports. When the team is called in an old building downtown about an old soul who yells, journalists following, eager to make good pictures. Only then, the intervention turned into a tragedy: the old lady seems possessed and flows on relief…

So they try to flee after a policeman and a fireman were injured, neighbors and journalists realize that they are quarantined, confined by the authorities in the building. With the face of them, more and more people in very strange behaviour…

Quite frankly inspired by the style of Blair Witch Project, Rec knows raise mayonnaise and create at lower costs, an ultra-flippante atmosphere through simple means: dark scenes, which falls on camera, images fugitive imagination of the viewer for some scenes. Oh, this is bizarre, it also recalls the concept of a big stew of a blockbuster the Godzilla released earlier this year!

Yet, and this is perhaps because I am a tapette, ECR is effective in its style: it is well to the bottom of the chair, shaking hands on the armrests, expected next squirts blood with cramps in ‘Stomach and a little sweat on the forehead. A real massacre! If you miss, do not worry, Hollywood is entrain to rehabilitate. It called Quarantined and it released all at the end of the year.

  • The Girl: No scheme!

    May 27th, 2008

We are in spring and already we all magazines bassinent with regimes more eccentric as each other for the top this summer on the beach… But I came across an article not too bad recently, a “Special Feature lose: everything except a regime “(She No. 3246 of 17 March 2008), and finally another way of thinking! Indeed, we arrive at a crossroads of fashion: MEPs adopted a draft law that punishes 2 years in prison and 30 € 000 fine incitement to anorexia or the extreme thinness on April 15 last… then necessarily journalists will change their rifle shoulder! Being thin is zero, has been, the new trend is to be well on his skin, eliminate toxins by eating better, simply. The article referred to is proof: this law we will do good! This summer I do not want to be thin, I want to be beautiful.

I always begins with me look in the mirror: we must learn to love his body, it is the beginning of the well-being. Ok, I have a small chest, but my belly is quite nice; against a side thighs there is a little job but the jean size bass goes to wow me, etc… A good way to re-appropriate his body is to to massage morning and evening with milk or cream after showering is covered with a lotion choice (which smells good), and one mass gently from head to toe. It allows us to identify flaws (cellulite, stretch…) is doing well, and we keep morale due to good smells (the principle of aromatherapy).

    © Alain Bachelor

“It offers first relearn to eat… Ask yourself the question” Where are my kilos overweight? “. You are going to respond to the tac tac: “fast-food weekly, 4 cheese pizza ordered yesterday evening, BN package that I typed the taste.” The food must not become an obsession, but you know the important rules: three balanced meals a day without snacking (carbohydrate, fat, protein, laitage, fruit, etc.), drink 1.5 litres of water per day, avoid up preparations industry (too fatty, too salty) and learn to cook is a must! Eventually you are going to realize a comprehensive and balanced meals, cooked the day before, you better hold your stomach a sandwich / pastry between noon and two. One thing any beast: vegetable soup made house is simple and really healthy, and we feel rassasiée, so I did not throw on the main dish. And if I am hungry for chocolate cake, I do myself: nothing beats good ingredients (no preservatives, corn syrup or hidden fats). It is in a phase of “Detox” and mine anything your silhouette will transform itself: you are not going to lose weight but you’ll feel better and loved this body that takes the force and colors.

The magazine insists on a key point: ok zappe on the regime, but we put everything on the sport. Ouch! But it makes me two years I did not… So we start with simple gestures: one goes up the stairs, finished the escalators and elevators, it is 50 or 100 abs in the morning (technical Halle Berry)… on muscle already the legs and stomach. All sports are good to take. I have chosen a method not too expensive (Subscriptions to fitness club are exorbitant!): I bought a DVD of Fit Yoga on the Internet at € 15 that I left in my player and every morning I make a small meeting. That muscle and it’s relaxing!

    © Squirtblossom06

The slimming creams… let’s be realistic: it does strictly nothing to brush everywhere if you eat like a big cow on the side. Anyway let us not forget that our aim is not to lose weight but feel good… so rather than invest in a product that promises to lose centimetres tower thigh I prefer to opt for one that will reduce capitons: my thighs are round but smooth. And I use utensils massages wood (you can find really cheap): cream penetrates better and it’s pretty nice. The most fun is still the cream Roc Retinol Anti-Cellulite intensive (23 €)… but if you go to Gigastore (store that deserves to be known decidedly) you will find for Calliderm series for little and you’ll blow hand more generous to you rubbing.

A word of advice: treat your head! To feel good in your body it is also particularly feel attractive: you do a pretty face, hair shiny… when you see your own reflection in the street you see a really cool head and too bad if the silhouette does not follow Again, you sleep and already a potential beauty. Buy your eye star (Italian glasses) and voila.

The message is past: no draconian regime for this summer but cocooning and good resolutions. It is all done differently and charm also lies in the difference: the challenge is then to know highlight its strengths.

  • Two days to kill

    May 27th, 2008

Antoine is a man who has every reason to be happy. A job in advertising that it relates enough to be free from want, a loving wife, two beautiful children, a big house in the suburbs, a big German sedan, close friends. Yet for 42 years, it will flatten everything, methodically.

After an operation truth meeting with a client “never content”, Antoine (Albert Dupontel) resigns and sells shares of its box his partner. He then left to believe his wife Cécile (Marie-Josee Croze) he has a liaison and does not even attempt to deny when she speaks of this Marion with a friend who saw. It is despicable with his stepmother guindée and “break burnes” drive with his children who offer drawings imperfect as a birthday gift. His conduct is derail the sale of a car collector for his best friend, and when began his “holiday surprise,” it sends a bouler an all his friends during the evening, forgetting person, sparing neither their hypocrisy nor their life tidy. When finally as everyone hates and returned home, Antoine said goodbye to his children and then disappears at the wheel of his sedan. Direction of Ireland…

Is this the crisis quarantine the man who pushes the quiet life to conduct its own revolution, shouting his need space and its urgency to feel alive?

Without revealing the outcome of history-not our usual two-day killing is one of the best films of Jean Becker (Summer murderer, Dialogue with my gardener), of its kind to wake up deep emotions and violent as in I am fine, Do not Worry Philippe Lioret (2006). Interpreted by Albert Dupontel disturbing and unpredictable, and Marie-Josee Croze collapsed two days to kill is indeed a great baffe in the mouth: it sends the carpet!
