After 10 year of performances on the international scene and nearly 45 million viewers, the musical The Lion King, from the Disney cartoon that has been crying all children in a generation, came to ask her bags in France Mogador last October. Re-wrote, directed and costumed by Julie Taymor, the show is adapted by french Stéphane Laporte. After more than six months and 350,000 spectators, three Molières (téâtre music, costumes, lighting) came to crown this artistic and popular success.
Bringing together 50 technicians, 17 musicians and 40 artists, The Lion King tells the story and misadventures of Simba since its birth in songs of Elton John and Tim Rice. Slightly reconstituted for the purposes of the scene, they are enriched with music and new songs, including Zulu choirs.
